3) One JJ Abrams is looking for a few good cadets for his new Star Trek movie. (This comes straight from Occasional Superheroine. I think I may love her.)

Sez OC: “I think Abrams is just trying to save on make-up & special effects.” ABSOLUTELY!

4) Star Wars tees: I am Artoo. Yeah, they’re at Urban Outfitters so they’re all mainstream and stuff, but these are the cleverest Star Wars tees I’ve seen in a while. They have Darth Vader and (less great) Chewbacca and Luke also.

5) (Assumes Mae West voice:) Ah Know what Mah Boys Lahk. And what a certain percentage of mah girls lahk. 5A) Here’s nice big pix of Jessica Alba photoshopped so she’s dressed like a superheroine, a Boris Vallejo-type fantasy chick, a space gal, and a … uh … android with some l’il droids? In a red bra? OK. 5B) These (nice big) Pepsi promo pix feature JLo and Beyonce done up like martial-arts superheroines or something. (Ladies, if you’re still reading this: One of the dojo shots uses that Alexander McQueen helmet I was talking about! I wonder if that’s actually some sort of regular sports gear?)
