Rose McGowan, Barbarella, Gort

Rose McGowan will play Barbarella, apparently. [UPDATE: That link works now.] This would have been such awesome news before her face went all wonky. I mean, I’m a diehard feminist, but I don’t think you should be celebrated as a famous hottie if your face looks like that. Apparently she got messed up in an auto accident, which is sad, truly. But life is harsh, and Rose, you ain’t no Jane Fonda. Time to learn to read, maybe go back to community college.

How likely is it that this remake will be tolerable? I say slim. What are they going to do, make the spaceships all high-tech and do elaborate location shoots? Nightmare, sweetie!
